Situated on the water’s edge, with spectacular views of the river, The River Cottage is the perfect getaway destination for a medium-sized group of people (up to 18). Ideal for students looking for a group holiday. Ideal for bachelor(ette) parties.

Sleeping Configuration:
Two dorm-style rooms, which sleep 9 people each, bedding included
Each room contains three triple bunk beds (three high)
Each room contains an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin

A gulley kitchen, including cutlery, crockery and glassware
Lounge area
An indoor fireplace that doubles as a braai
Includes kitchen & dish clean each morning

Additional activities
Clay pigeon shooting (R200 per person for 10 clays)

The accommodation is rustic. River water is used in the toilets and showers. The road to the Cottage is a gravel road so please bear this in with regards to the type of vehicle used to travel to the accommodation.

Meals – Working up an appetite
This Property is self-catering.
A Spit braai can be arranged by a trusted service provider (Lamb is standard but other options can be arranged)
Groups of 10 – 14 R 255 per person
Groups of 15 and up R230 per person
Spit includes:
500grams Raw meat bone in per person
Curry pasta salad
Green salad
Pearl onions and potatoes
Garlic bread
(vegetarian, vegan and special dietary requirements can be catered for – additional costs may be incurred)

Rates 2021:
R3800pn (18 Guests) – two nights stay. OR R5650pn for a 1 night stay.
Pet Friendly: R100 Pet levy per dog per stay
R500 Refundable Breakage Deposit will be charged.

Check in is 2pm-6pm and check out is 10 am , early check in or late check-out can be arranged with the manager, if done so prior to arrival and a R250 fee will be charged.
